the circle game
Salinas dress, Lucky Brand hat and belt, vintage Betsey Johnson blazer.
Listening to: Dreamland-Joni Mitchell. Favorite track: Big Yellow Taxi.
I am here practically every day in the Summer. People who just go to the big crowded beaches here are crazy in my opinion. But it's better for me, because then they don't come to my beach ;)
Today was such a pretty day, it almost felt like Summer (except for the chilly breeze and freezing water) and made me want it so much!

she came in through the bathroom window
My inspirations of the week.
Most pictures are from the LIFE photo archive, which is amazing by the way

in the evening
Thrifted dress, Diesel belt, Betsey Johnson shoes. My sister gave me this dress for Christmas and it was a little long and strange to say the least. I shortened it and although it's a little shorter than I would like in the back (an accident) I like it much better now.
Listening to: In Through the Out Door-Led Zeppelin. Favorite track: All My Love. I really like Fool in the Rain also.

white heat
Thrifted Saks Fifth Avenue hat and vintage dress. This dress is just what I need to look forward to Spring.
Listening to: True Blue-Madonna. Favorite track: Jimmy Jimmy.
I took these pictures on Sunday in LA when I went to the Fairfax flea market for the first time! San Diego really lacks in the swap meet department, so this was a sort of amazing experience for me. I found some really great stuff that I am excited to wear (including a funny romper that, according to my sister, looks like "a costume for a burger shop". It definitely needs some altering.
I hope everyone in So Cal is enjoying the stormy weather! I personally could do with a little less wind. While walking just a couple blocks today, it pushed my umbrella inside out constantly. Not so much fun!

shine on
Led Zeppelin shirt from eBay, vintage Levis, Line cardigan, Jil Sander shoes (borrowed from my stylish grandma). I'm still trying to figure out how to rip tights so they look good and not just like a wedge of swiss cheese.
Listening to: Frampton Comes Alive-Peter Frampton. Favorite track: Baby, I Love Your Way. I thought it would be too obvious and slightly annoying if I did a Led Zeppelin record for this.
Photo cred to my sister!

don't pass me by
California Select cardigan, Theory sweater, 7 jeans, and vintage boots and sunglasses.
Listening to: The White Album-The Beatles. Favorite track: Happiness is a Warm Gun. Is it sort of ridiculous or obvious that I brought this album to the snow? I think it is, but I just couldn't help myself.
These were taken in Mammoth where I spent the last week skiing. I don't remember the last time I was really in the snow (fake snow in Big Bear doesn't count in my opinion) and it was so beautiful and amazing to me. The way the snow would cover the trees was so pretty! We took the gondola to the top of the mountain and you could literally see for miles and miles. I miss it!

turn the girl loose
Skirt I've had since I was like 6, crop top I made, American Apparel visor and tube bra.
Listening to: She's the Boss-Mick Jagger. Favorite track: Lonely at the Top.
I just got back from Mammoth yesterday. Snow pictures are coming soon!!

its only rock n roll
This makes me want to part my hair in the middle and wear ripped fishnets. I'm a little obsessed with this?
(pictures stolen from Rock&Rebel, not sure where she got them)
l'amitie
American Apparel sweater, vintage Betsey Johnson skirt. This sweater makes me feel so many different ways. It makes me feel like a mime, a sailor, and like I belong in France. For this outfit, I went with the France inspiration. I'm not too sure how I feel about mixing prints, but I think I like it.
Listening to: Les Grands Succes (Greatest Hits)-Francoise Hardy. Favorite track: J'suis D'accord. I thought I would pick a French record to go along with the whole French theme. I ended up really liking the record. I've also decided that I want to be just like Francoise Hardy.
Magnifique.

it's a mean old man's world
Vintage fur coat and skirt, sweater I made, American Apparel tube bra.
Listening to: Dinah-Dinah Washington. Favorite track: Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby.
These pictures were taken at The Pearl, which is an extremely cute retro motel which was renovated pretty recently. It's definitely not like the other motels on Rosecrans St, and has extremely delicious food.
Photo credit to my sis Nove :) who is pictured below with me

train kept a rollin'
Vintage dress, Lucky Brand hat. I love this 70's dress with an extreme passion. I also love my new hat that I got 1/2 off the day after Christmas!
Listening to: Live Bootleg-Aerosmith. Favorite track: I Ain't Got You.
The extremely warm weather is still happening! But I'm going to Mammoth in a few days (!) so I think it will be quite a drastic change. I haven't really been in freezing temperatures that I can remember, so we'll see how I do with that...

every picture tells a story
Vintage sweater and California Select romper, TOMS shoes. I love this strange and crazy sweater so much. It reminds me of a Piet Mondrian painting.
Listening to: Every Picture Tells a Story-Rod Stewart. Favorite track: Maggie May. This is definitely one of my favorite songs at the moment.
