Yesterday I had a photoshoot with my friends Alison and Mia with my 35mm camera. I just ordered 50 rolls of film, so I'll probably be posting a good amount of photoshoots like these. I didn't edit these pictures at all, but I used a polarizing filter while shooting, which does exciting and unexpected things to the colors.

On me: Lace crop top I made, vintage skirt and purse.
On Alison: Vintage sailor dress.
On Mia: American Apparel crop top and vintage skirt.

Those of you who live in Southern California (actually, all of California), I hope you're enjoying the sudden heatwave! I don't think it was this hot all summer. It was almost 100 degrees by my house earlier! I spent part of the afternoon with my friends having a hose/watergun fight. We had to make do without access to a pool!

ps. check out Shop Shoeless Simone if you haven't already! :)

I finally did something I've been considering for months: starting an online shop! I have a lot of clothes I don't wear, so I've decided to sell some of them on a blog that I've started, Shop Shoeless Simone. I'll be updating it more within the next few days, too. Check it out if you're interested!

Thrifted dress, vintage boots, Lucky Brand hat.

Listening to: Woodstock: Music from the original soundtrack and more. I'm currently sitting in my living room, finishing up this 6 sided album. My favorite performances are the ones by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and also Jimi Hendrix. It's interesting to me that out of the half a million people who went to Woodstock, only 20,000 were left by the time Jimi played!

I'm actually writing a research paper partially about Woodstock (mainly about the infamous Altamont festival) so this record is suiting

In other news, I think I'll be setting up a blog to sell some of my clothes this weekend! Stay tuned...

Vintage shorts and sunglasses, thrifted sweater.

Found the perfect open field thing at an elementary school near my friend's house. It was a great spot for pictures, although the photoshoot went a little downhill when my iPhone screen got severely cracked (the phone still works!) and some annoying children threw a shoe at us.

Thrifted sweater, vintage shoes, and hat borrowed from my sis. This sweater is one of my new favorite things to wear. The fact that it was only $2.50 makes it even better! I'm so glad it's starting to get cold. You'll be seeing a lot of sweaters from me in the upcoming weeks...

Listening to: Paranoid-Black Sabbath. I haven't listened to side 2 yet, so I can't give you a favorite track just yet!

Is anyone having odd issues with Tinypic? One of the picture I was going to post for this turned into a Wallace and Grommit movie poster! It was funny, although a little annoying as well.

Photo cred to my sis Novena!

We took these on Friday in my "front yard jungle", as I like to call it. There were a bunch of pretty vines grown over from the tree there. That is, until our landlord came and cut them all off today. Perfect timing?

Thrifted shirt, vintage hat, American Apparel shorts.

Listening to: Strange Days-The Doors. Favorite track: Love Me Two Times.

I'm really sorry for the lack of posts. I just finished my first week of junior year so I've been a bit busy! Hopefully I'll be updating more frequently! I'm really happy about this three day weekend. Today I went sailing and tomorrow I'm planning on relaxing and maybe being artsy.
