This post took forever to get up. Photobucket was being annoying and making half of my pictures way too wide to fit, despite them all being the same width. I got a little fed up and spontaneously decided to switch to Flickr. My pictures were still different widths, only they were too small instead of big! I went ahead and posted anyways last night, but took it down this morning so I could try to fix the issue. I switched picture hosting websites again to Picasa, and had the same issue. I finally went back to good old Photobucket and my problem decided to fix itself. I hope that I don't have to go through this frustrating situation again! Have any of you had these issues before? Which picture hosting website do you all use?

Anyways, I spent half of Saturday in my hammock, the most relaxing thing on earth.
I'm wearing a vintage crop sweater and Levis. I love this sweater, although it's awfully hot and I can't really figure out what to wear it with besides my go-to Levis. Any suggestions?

Listening to: Originial Musiquarium-Stevie Wonder. Favorite track: Living for the City

Thrifted shirt and shorts, vintage shorts underneath.

Listening to: Cry of Love-Jimi Hendrix. Favorite track: Angel

I took these pictures a week ago, and meant to post them midway through the week. However, some technical difficulties prevented me from posting, and now it's been a whole week! Technology is not my friend lately.

I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend! I sure am, it's only the first day and I already feel like it has lasted so long, which is definitely a good start. I went on a picnic, made a cake, and spent the afternoon in my hammock.

Vintage California Select dress, bag my friend's mom made. I bought this dress a couple weeks ago at the American Apparel rummage sale and I'm really excited about it. It's the perfect dress for Summer, with the cutouts and everything.

Listening to: Double Fantasy-John Lennon. Favorite track: Watching the Wheels.

We took these pictures at a lookout point that I found pretty close to my house. Such a pretty view of the ocean! Unfortunately, I still have five weeks left of school. Counting down the days until Summer...

An interview with me was featured on Fashion My Legs, a blog about hosiery a couple weeks ago! You can read the interview here

Yesterday my dad and I went on a mini road trip going in a huge loop around San Diego county. It took us through the desert, the countryside, quaint little towns, to some old railroad tracks, and I even got a text welcoming me to Mexico despite still being in this country. Overall it was quite a good day, and I practiced driving stick shift for much of the ride!

I wore a vintage California Select tank, vintage Levis.

Listening to: Born to Run-Bruce Springsteen. Favorite track: Born to Run. This is the perfect road trip album.

Playing around with the settings on my friend's camera, making my room look blue instead of green.

I don't know why I've never posted with this dress before, it's one of my favorites in my vintage Betsey Johnson collection.

Listening to: Tapestry-Carole King. Favorite track: I Feel the Earth Move. Sometimes I'll listen to this album while trying to do homework and it's near impossible because I just keep singing out loud! Her songs are all so happy and easy to remember, it just comes out uncontrollably!

This dress was originally a romper that I got at the flea market for $10. When I put it on, it looked completely ridiculous, like an outfit that I would be forced to wear working at a burger joint. I changed it to a dress and shortened it a bit, and I'm very happy with the final product! Worn in the last two pictures with an American Apparel cardigan. Please excuse my adorable flyaway hairs in the second to last picture!

Listening to: Here and There-Elton John. Favorite track: Bennie and the Jets. That's definitely my favorite song of his, ever.

I'm staying home from school today to get over a cold that hit me on Sunday. I've spent the day so far watching hours of Law and Order SVU and trying to get some sleep. I'm feeling much better though, so I'm going to venture over to my sewing table and tackle a strange vintage dress that I am changing. Happy Tuesday everyone!

Vintage Sea World shirt and Levis.

I don't know when Motel 6 got so modern and cool, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived in our room in Santa Barbara. All moderness aside, it was sufficiently creepy when multiple middle aged men watched us take a freezing cold night swim. I guess it was still a good old motel, even if the decorating had changed! These pictures would be much more exciting if my outfit was more interesting, but when I packed I was taking space into consideration more than anything.

It makes me slightly sad that many of my recent posts haven't featured a record (including a post that I haven't posted yet). It's because I've been in LA, then Santa Barbara, and it's a hassle worrying about bending up a record. But I'm back home for a while now, so expect plenty of records!

Thanks to all my new followers! Thanks to everyone, I am somewhat close to 100!

Dad's hat, vintage everything else.

Listening to: Synchronicity II-The Police. It's a single, that's why it's so tiny and adorable. It also only has one song on each side.

I took the train up to Santa Barbara on Thursday with a little group from school to visit UCSB. It was very fun, despite only being one night and the 6 hour train ride to get there. The ride back felt even longer!
